Touring with 10-time GRAMMY winner Bobby McFerrin
Gary was fortunate to perform on multiple tours with the great Bobby McFerrin and his group Voicestra, later recording on McFerrin's double-GRAMMY-nominated album (with arranger/producer Roger Treece) titled VOCAbuLarieS.
Voicestra performances are completely improvised, incorporating McFerrin's spontaneous approach called Circle Singing.
NBC / Blake Shelton / Clash of the Choirs
Gary served as a Writer/Producer for NBC and the Blake Shelton Choir
Culminating in four consecutive nights of Primetime Live Television on NBC, Gary auditioned choir members, arranged all the music for Team Shelton, rehearsed the choir in Oklahoma City, and aided Blake in directing the choir for the live broadcast in NYC. Gary was fortunate to work with a great cast of singers from Oklahoma City and Blake's team including Narvel Blackstock and Brandon Blackstock. The NBC show led to a spinoff performance of Gary's vocal arrangement of Marc Broussard's 'HOME' for the Daytona 300 on ESPN including recording/filming in Oklahoma City and Nashville's Starstruck Entertainment.
